More details to come!
This is an America 250-Ohio event partnership between Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) and Discover Clermont CVB.
The Steven Newman Perimeter Trail at East Fork State Park is being transformed into an audio trail, where hikers can engage with and listen to Steven Newman share many of his stories from his famous Worldwalk companion book, "Letters from Steve." Hikers can now trek the 33-mile perimeter trail at the park and "share Steven's journey around the world." Steven Newman, from Bethel, Ohio in Clermont County, was the first documented person to walk around the world from April 1,1983 to April 1, 1987. A new trailhead sign has been created by Kingdom Productions with an amazing 3-D resin sculpture of Steven Newman. The trail will be divided into segments, where hikers can scan QR codes and listen to Steven, in his own voice and words, tell stories of his adventures in various countries and regions around the world. This is an innovative and creative way to enjoy this beautiful hiking trail and celebrates one of Ohio's most interesting adventurers and storytellers.
