Cincinnati Nature Center: Maple Sugaring Hikes

Registration Requirements: Preregistration required. Register all adults and children 3 and over.
Intended Audience: This program is fun for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Program Description: Hit the trail for a guided interactive maple hike. Check the sap buckets in the sugarbush and see the steaming evaporator as we boil sap down to “liquid gold” maple syrup.
What to Expect:
- This program is entirely outdoors and will include some off-trail hiking.
- Restrooms are available only at the start and end of the program, as we will be out on the trails during the program.
- Trails/areas used during this program are rated as accessible (packed gravel trails, mild hills, with optional off-trail areas) for a planned distance of 0.25-0.5 miles at a slow to moderate pace.
- Program runs rain or shine.
What to Wear: Please dress for cold weather and wet/snowy conditions; we recommend layers to ensure proper warmth and comfort.
Note:
- Preregistration is necessary and assures we can operate and learn in small groups.
- You are registering for a program that starts at a specific time. Please be sure to arrive on time.
Where to Meet: Registered participants will meet at the Outdoor Learning Center at our Rowe Woods location. (4949 Tealtown Road, Milford, OH 45150). Look for the “Sap Hikes Start Here” sign.
Cost: Ticket fees include daily admission.
$6 for member adult and child; $14 for non-member adult and child includes daily admission
