A New Era for Nature: Celebrate the Valley View Shelter Ribbon Cutting!

Valley View Nature Preserve is proud to announce the ribbon cutting of its brand-new outdoor shelter — a stunning, sustainable addition that deepens our community’s connection to nature.

Years in the making, this thoughtfully designed space will serve as a welcoming hub for outdoor education, community events, and everyday enjoyment of the Preserve’s natural beauty.

In partnership with RWA Architects, HGC Construction, Human Nature, Beagle Masonry, J. McCoy Lumber Co., and TruCraft Roofing - Valley View created a shelter that reflects true harmony with nature and a commitment to sustainability. This project was made possible through the generous support of private donors, a grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and the many in-kind contributions of materials and labor. The extraordinary craftsmanship, heart and dedication of Chris and Ben Habel made this dream a reality.

This new addition will provide:
🌿 A gathering place for school groups, visitors, and community events
🌿 A hands-on outdoor classroom for environmental education
🌿 Shelter from the elements while maintaining harmony with nature
🌿 A beautiful example of sustainable, non-intrusive design
