This course equips business leaders with the foundational financial knowledge needed to make confident, informed decisions—without requiring a finance background. Participants will learn how to interpret key financial statements, understand core financial metrics, and link financial results to operational and strategic choices. The course will also emphasize how leaders use financial data to evaluate performance, manage risk, and assess trade offs.

Participants will learn how to: 

• Be prepared to ask the right financial questions and use numbers as a practical tool for driving business outcomes.
• Interpret core financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) to understand business performance and financial health.
• Apply key financial metrics to evaluate trade offs, assess risk, and support day to day and strategic decisions.

ABOUT THE BUSINESS EDUCATION SERIES
The Clermont Classroom: Business Education Series is a multi-session professional development program created by the Clermont Chamber of Commerce to equip business owners, leaders, and team members with the knowledge and tools needed to grow strong, successful organizations.

Each 90-minute class focuses on a critical area of business success—such as leadership, communication, HR, sales, marketing, finance, and emerging technologies like AI. Sessions are led by experienced professionals and designed to deliver practical, immediately applicable strategies.

Participants may register for individual classes or enroll in the full 8-class series for a comprehensive learning experience that supports personal growth, team development, and long-term business success.
