We are seeking kind, compassionate, and dependable caregivers to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. As a caregiver, you will deliver personalized care tailored to each client’s needs. This includes companion care, personal care, and support with daily living activities—both inside and outside the home. You’ll follow a detailed care plan, communicate regularly with supervisors, and help create a safe, nurturing environment for every client you serve, and help them maintain independence, dignity, and connection.

Duties

• Provide companionship and emotional support through conversation, shared activities, and attentive presence
• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Support mobility and transfers, ensuring safety and comfort
• Prepare and serve meals/snacks, considering dietary needs and preferences
• Perform light housekeeping: laundry, linens, tidying, and basic cleaning
• Run errands and provide transportation to appointments, social visits, and shopping
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications (no administration required)
• Monitor and report changes in client condition, behavior, or environment
• Maintain accurate documentation of services and timekeeping using FirstLight’s system
• Respond promptly to emergencies and follow safety protocols
• Uphold HIPAA standards and company policies
•  Participate in ongoing training and quality assurance activities

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 6 months of professional caregiving experience (home care, facility, or related setting)
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Strong communication skills—both verbal and written
• Ability to follow care plans and adapt to client needs
• Basic cooking and housekeeping knowledge
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others
• Must pass background check and drug screening
