Key Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare family law pleadings, motions, discovery requests, subpoenas, and correspondence.
- Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all deadlines, court dates, and filings are accurately tracked.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and outside professionals.
- Conduct client intake and gather information necessary for case preparation.
- Assist with preparation for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
- Prepare and legal documents.
- Correspond with courts and administrative agencies.
- Manage attorney calendars, scheduling, and case-related deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation within the firm's case management system.
- Provide exceptional client service to individuals and families navigating difficult legal matters.
- Support the attorney and office staff with administrative and case-management tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience required.
- Family law experience is strongly preferred.
- Paralegal certificate optional but not required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong phone communication and client service skills.
Hours: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.; In-person, occasional flexible remote work permitted subject to prior approval.
Benefits and Compensation: Base Salary: $55,000–$65,000 annually, depending on experience.
