Clermont Chamber Partners with Ohio BWC to Launch Safety Council, Offering Rebates and Resources for Safer Workplaces

Union Township, Clermont County Ohio (July 1, 2025) - The Clermont Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the launch of its new Safety Council, a collaborative initiative designed to help local employers build safer, healthier workplaces. Developed in partnership with the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC), the Safety Council provides tools, resources, and financial incentives to support workplace safety, health, and wellness.

Employers that participate in the Clermont Chamber Safety Council may be eligible to earn a 3% rebate on their workers’ compensation premiums, simply by attending monthly meetings and engaging in approved safety education and training opportunities.

Benefits of Joining the Clermont Chamber Safety Council Include:

  • Premium Rebates: Earn up to 3% rebate on your workers’ compensation premiums through active participation (Rebate eligibility and requirements are determined by the Ohio BWC).
  • Expert-Led Education: Attend monthly in-person meetings covering safety, health, and wellness topics relevant to today’s workplace.
  • Peer Networking: Connect with other employers to exchange ideas, experiences, and best practices.
  • Accident Prevention Support: Access proven strategies and resources to reduce incidents and improve safety outcomes.
  • Cost-Saving Risk Management: Learn how to effectively manage risk and reduce costs with proactive planning.

The first Safety Council meeting will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 8:30-9:30 AM at the Union Township Civic Center. Monthly sessions will continue through June 2026, featuring educational programming, local experts, and collaborative discussion.

Participation is open to all employers—Chamber membership is not required.

  • Annual Membership Fee: $50 for Clermont Chamber members; $200 for non-members.
  • Individual Event Option: Free per session for members; $25 per session for non-members.

Employers must enroll by July 31, 2025, to qualify for the rebate program. Eligible participants must attend at least 10 safety council meetings between July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026. Up to two meetings may be credited through approved external safety training.
