Clermont County reveals major development plans: Mega gas station, hospital and more

CLERMONT COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) - A new report released by Union Township trustees revealed the statuses of several major development projects in the Clermont County community.

A mega gas station, WaWa, will replace the old Mount Carmel Kroger store.

Township Trustee, Joe Dills, said the new Wawa is just one part of a very big picture.

"The trustees want to make sure we do good development. That we take care of the wants and the needs that the residents are asking for. But also smart development because we don't want to over do it," said Dills.

In addition to WaWa, which is expected to start construction soon and be completed in about a year, a new Outback Steakhouse is set to open in a few weeks.

The car wash on Glen Este Withamsville Road will be razed to make room for a Panda Express.

A grocery outlet will move in to the old Bed Bath & Beyond location and is set to open in June.

Construction on a new Mercy Health urgent care is almost complete in front of Jungle Jim's.

A Cincinnati Children's Hospital is under construction at Ivy Point next to TQL, which is also expanding its campus and its workforce with plans to add about 3,000 new jobs.

Add to all that, a new playground and state-of-the-art pickle ball courts will give Clepper Park a facelift.

"Our number one goal, is to make sure that Union Township is the best place to live, to work, to be entertained and to raise a family," said Dills.
